[SixClub] Commercial vertical antenna for 52 MHz (Correction onmy previous post)

The AR-6 is the regular Ringo...and works ok (like a 1/2wave antenna
should). I have used them before...had one up for 6 FM at the Houston house
on the 220 rmt base rptr...good SWR and they are DC grounded for static
drain off...the ring is the biggest complaint I have...never did like the
connection...a 10mtr antenna (Non CC) that used a ring match had a better
way...the ring was a flat instead of tubular...and the match slid on the
inside of the ring (L shaped match with the bent section of the L against
the ring) and the connecting screw was tight in holding the strap. MUCH
better than CC's round tuning section and round ring....

The ARX-6 is the Ranger version....there is a manual for one on Cushcraft's
web site...
And a picture of it is on eHam's web site as well...

But I never have seen one up close...the photo of the ARX6 looks close to
the V6R except the ARX6 was a 1/2wave over
1/2wave..not 5/8 over 5/8 as the V6R is supposed to be.
