Mike,
Personally, I prefer the DB Products antennas...the DB 201 ground plane or
the DB212 folded dipole style is best...
DC grounded for static drain off and lightning protection, well built and
works!
The HyGain V6R looks like a nice model but I have not had any hands on with
it...
Or roll your own with a ~8.5ft long vertical element and gamma match feed
the center...DC grounded just like the DB antennas.
(BTW I MAY have a DB201 I can part with...I have 6+ in storage...they are
planned to be used on rcvr sites on a mutli-rcvr rptr with a voter :)
