A FYI (and a little warning to all)
That 6db gain quoted by them may be measured against isotropic or a dummy
load, Mike....BE CAREFUL of their specs...
IF it doesn't say dBd, it can be measured against anything!!! Besides, a
2mtr antenna will have 6dBd on a 20ft mast (a DB224 for example)...so at
6mtrs, you need 3 times the size or 60ft to get 6dBd gain :) which the
DB212-4 IS!

I would bet it has MAYBE 3 db gain over a dipole but not 6db......in fact 2
5/8wl cannot have 6dd gain over a dipole...
That is a giveaway right there...

Just a warning to all to check the gain figures when looking at them...if it
doesn't say dBd or dBi, it could be measured against anything (including a
wet noodle!) which is why the ARRL does NOT quote gain figures in QST....
