I currently live in DN13 (everyone has that right?) Anyway, I most often
operate DN24 while mobile and DN35 at my parents house, in fact my favorite
6m operating location in Idaho is the corner of DN24, DN25, DN34, DN35. I
have the corner marked on my GPS and operate with the antenna mast within a
couple feet of the average corner on the GPS. Actually I was only half a
mile from there this year for Field day. The grid corner is on the east side
of a mountain just down from the peak. Usually blocks the CA stations, which
no offense can be nice sometimes. This year for Field Day I was on the top
of the mountain above the grid corner and Aside from just a few eastern
stations, all I could hear was the massive mess of RF coming out of southern
California. (we operated 3A ID as AD7AN if you worked us you talked to me)

Just one more note and I'll shut up for the day. I need to go replace a
grounding strap on my truck's tail pipe.

I will be mobile on Six Meters from July 28th till August Ninth.

Route of travel will be up through Central Idaho, including all the rarer
grids previously mentioned. Then up to Glacier National Park for a couple of
days. Once we leave there we'll head east to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and stay a
couple days then Head back to Idaho (via the direct route) arriving back
here on the 9th.

Every year when we travel back east I make a note of the trip on here and
always enjoy working as many of you as possible. I'll be running 100watts
into an ATAS 120 when mobile and when parked I'll have my portable beam up
at 30 feet.

I'll have the radio stuck on 50.125 but will have other modes if possible
and desired.

Seven Three to all
