Subject: [SixClub] FM13 Wrap-up - N4AVM
I'll provide a full report later, I need to put on sun burn lotion
first :-)
I got at the location a little late, setup and made a first contact
at 1627 UTC - last contact at 2100 UTC. I was moved by the park
rangers once and they suggested I pack up by 6 pm... so I did.
6 meter contacts: 25
Grids: FM03, FM04, FM05, FM06, FL20(Cuba), EL29, FM14, EM30, EM13,
EM12, EM04, EM15 and EM60
2 meter contacts: .5 I had just started talking with someone when a
kid knocked my antenna down by accident and cut my cable... and I
didn't have a spare cable. (see lessons learned when I write it)
Number of people just dropping over to see what I'm doing: 16
Number of the visitors that annoyed me: 2
Many lessons learned for the next trip. I'll write stuff up fully on
Sunday and post here.
I would like to thank all of those that contacted me... or could hear
me. I'm going to do this again... anyone else want to do it. Another
lesson learned... should be two people together.
73
Jerry, N4AVM
