if all you want to do is work the WIDE open conditions that happen way
to infrequantly a vertical is fine but if you want to catch the most
openings you really need atleast a horizontal Loop like the M2 HO loop
or the Par Electronics OA50
the better the antenna the better you will hear and if you cant hear
them you cant work them
so i would suggest giving up the idea of "good enough"
so many newbies post in here that they want to do 6 meters and is this
"good enough" and then complain that they never hear anything
unfortunatly 6 meters isnt really a band for Casual use it takes some
effort and money and equipment to succeed at it
