Someone promised to send me the data, but I haven't received it yet.  He has
designs for a non-resonant ground.  From what I remember, it was a 1/2 inch
copper tube run along the back of his table.  All equipment grounds were
wired to that tube.  The tube then had the center conductor of a piece of
coax connected to it and at the other end of the coax, the shield and center
were shorted and tapped to an 8'ground rod.  I don't remember if he used a
copper plate on the desk or what length the copper tube was on back of the
desk, but the coax was allowed to be any length.  Its purpose was so you
could run a coax up several floors or over as far as needed to get it
outside for the ground without it becoming a radiator.

(the shield was not connected to anything in the shack.)

Except for the coax, (rg-8, I think) the rest of what he proposed was normal
grounding procedures recommended for amateur radios.
