[SixClub] Looking For A 6m mob/Rig

By reading the original post it isn't clear if Rod is looking for advice or
someone to offer a radio. If it's advice, then I'll second the
recommendation of the Ranger RCI 5054DX-100. I've had my just short of
three years. During that three years worked nearly 200 stations coast to
coast including Alaska and a few contacts in Canada/Mexico. The radio has
been a good performer and is dependable. There does seem to be a minor
problem with the display backlight, but Ranger stands behind their product.
The folks at Ranger answer e-mail promptly and their service is great. I
sent my radio to have the tone module installed. They received the radio on
Tuesday and sent it back on Thursday. Speaking of the tone board, there is
some discussion about the absence of CTCSS feature on this radio, but it's
probably not a necessary item anyway.

Ranger has the RCI-5054dx100 model, see their ad in most ham magazines,
there are a few others with 6 meters which may include 2m & 70 cm, I
believe Alinco offers a multi band mobile unit too.

Check www.aesham.com to see what they may have.

I have the Ranger unit but wish I had explored other options due to it's
size, my Ranger has not seen much use as I am only mobile & don't get out
that often.
