[SixClub] Next newbie question

Hey Tom,
A good local 6m net will help as much as
anything...except of course a kicker band opening.
Your rig and antenna will really impress you when
there a solar peak. I had that radio and a 3'halo and
it was a killer combination two years ago during the
last gasp of the cycle. Now my 5 element beam an my
706 is lucky to pick up a whisper on 6 . Except on
monday and thursdays when a bunch of area 6m fans have
a net. Keeps the equipment tuned up and dust free. If
you find some 6 meter folk in the area (probably check
the closest local radio club) get them netted and have
some fun on 6 till the sun smiles on us again.
