Greetings,

This is to inform all of you that a CAT-1000 RPT
controller has been installed at the WP3BM repeater
transmiter site. This will provide, among other
things, voice ID, announcements, LITZ, and other
goodies. The LITZ feature, for the moment, is not
functional due to the fact that a CS-800 controller is
being used a the receiver site to relay incoming
traffic via the UHF link to the TX site, and add a
phone patch using the RX site phone line. The problem
for now is that the CS-800 is muting the DTMF tones
coming from the receiver, so they don't come out thru
the link. The CS-800 manual list no command to
eliminate the muting of the DTMF, but upon studying
the schematics, iti s clear that it should have the
function, even thru an undocummented command. Does
anybody here knows about this?

Besides that, the repeater is working fine. Having
dual CAT-1000 at the TX site (one for 449.650 KP4KSL
RPT, one for 51.620 WP3BM RPT), allows for seamless
linking of the two repeaters CAT to CAT. This is
great, because KP4KSL is echolink_ed, and the funtion
is available to 6 meter repeater users.

Remember that the offset is -.500 MHz and the CTSS is
136.5Hz. This is an OPEN repeater.

The repeater RX antenna will be down next week for a
well deserved maintenance.

Thanks,

Gabriel Sierra
WP3BM
