We use very little of the circle except for that 1,000' line in the middle. 
Our main op tent, the satellite tent, the food tent, are within 30' or so of 
the middle of that line.
The two VHF+ operations are also not more than 200' off the centerline, 
although we do try to get some separation from them because we apparently 
did have some interference issues with/from them at least one year.  I never
