Finally had some action in the west yesterday morning. One of the guys 
worked a bunch of stations in San Diego and Arizona with some 100w Yeasu 
and a halo. Later in the evening the band opened again. Heard a bunch of 
stations from So. Dakota, Wash, Calif. and more. Was able to hit a 
couple of them with a itty bitty Icom portable rig at 4w with a 
rotatable dipole that I whipped up from some junk in back of the truck. 
DANG FUN! for once!! We we're running under NV7LC from dmo9. Dayton NV. 
state park.
