Yeah Ed, the Larsen NMO 150 is a nice antenna.  I use one in my truck with
the FT 8900 (good on 6 and 2, seldom use 440 mhz).  Use another in
the"company car" with my 5054DX and the third is on a 5 inch mag mount and
currently loaned out to a buddy.

I recently installed a GAP Hear It speaker in the work car for use with the
5054.  Makes a world of difference.

Hope your right about the condx, surely E season couldn't be over this
quickly.  Last years logs show much better condx.
