Chris...
Thanks for putting things in perspective. I too know the damage storms can
do...about 25 miles north and west of my qth, the city of Moore got hit
twice in a span of about 3 years...first was an F5 and the second, if I
recall, an F3 TO F4. Where I live we got nothing, thank goodness except
rain.
As far as the cancer is concerned, keep your spirits up, you can beat this
thing! The best way is to stay active and involved. I know for sure that
any ham group in your area will help you get back on the air (or is that
get your loops up) all you need do is ask. If I was nearby your location I
would volunteer in a heartbeat. And what about moving the shack up stairs
so you can use it while you are on the mend...there again I think all you
need do is ask and you will get all the help you need.
Everytime I get involved in a ham activity, I learn something, kind of
like working six, the wonders and the surprises keep acomin'. I think you
would be surprised at the help available to you in your time of
need...after all isn't that what ham radio is all about in the first
place?
Looking forward to hearing you on six, stonger in spirit and in signal!
