[SixClub] Sunday/monday

Yeah, RF does seem to gain momentum on those long down hill shots...
Sadly enough, my trouble with the FT857 is back. I'm going to do a total
system check of my mobile this after noon. 6m seems fine, but 2m doesn't.
I noticed SWR is a pixel or two higher than normal. (normal is one line
showing) on my 2m collinear. I'm hoping that something is wrong with the
antenna or feedline that's intermittent. The ft857 shows it's putting out
full power and modulation looks normal, but it the system as a whole isn't
working right.
Hopefully I can fix this and be able to use my truck as a rover this
weekend.
Not a good birthday present for your radio to not work when you wake up!
I will post my operating times/grids when I know them. Most of my trips are
being planned about 48 hours in advance. I'm also going camping in two
weeks so I'll be stringing some wires and using the 897 off of a couple
solar panels.

Zeb...
I know how it goes, sometimes all you can do just ain't enough!
Anyway, try and post as much in advance where and when you will be
operating and I for one will be listening for you CQ...Hopefully we will
hear you, after all Oklahoma is a bit down hill from Idaho!
Would have been neat to catch you while in 2 grids!
