Bill and All,

There must have been thousands of people calling Chris. I tried even turned
my amp on.

Then the band closed, turn the amp off and worked Chris (KC9CAU) a local for
a couple of minuets. Then went back to 50.122 and as I was doing some
paperwork W3CMP/VP9 pops up in the noise.

Turn amp back on, I call maybe three times, then the bands seems to fold up!

About 5 min. hear him again 5x1, call again still no go.

Another 5 to 10 min, hear him calling at 5x3 called him and exchanged
reports.

He later came up to a 5x9 peak before the band died for the evening.

Advice: Stay with it! you'll get through. And if you can't hear him, don't
call him!

If he says QRZ W6s and you are a W9 in California go ahead and call him, but
if you are back in W9 land don't call him! There was a local that was doing
that here. I know when I hear this local do it again I will have to say
something. He is a new guy and may not know better.

I'm sorry you feel I blew you off. If you were one of the inconsiderate
few who was calling on top of people that I already ID'd then I may have. I
try to accomodate everyone but I can only do so much. If you hear me again
pse give me a call. I'm here to work as many people as possible on my time
and my $$. 73 Chris Patterson W3CMP
