Joe you are correct, and as we head into the bottom of the sun spot cycle 
location will be key more often then not!

But be not too discouraged, many modes of prop are around, and you may be in 
a hot spot for 2004. Call CQ every once in a while, even if you don't hear 
anything. I have seen the band open and didn't receive any beacons or stations 
until a CQ went out.
