Speaking of band openings and mail filters...

I suggest we come up with something that we can put in the subject line that
Is uniform when we hear the band open. Granted 90% of the time ya'll hear
the band open I can CQ till my throat hurts and MAYBE talk across town. But
that once or twice when the band opening includes Idaho it would be nice to
know. 

If we put something like BANDOPEN in the subject those of us who are on
countless ham radio, computer, etc... mailing lists could set our filters to
not only put all sixclub emails in a folder but when receiving a "BANDOPEN"
e-mail it could play a sound or something. I've done similar things on other
email lists. My e-mail sends/receives every 7 minutes. And each time I have
at least 5-10 new emails. If one was added for   I could definitely pull my
self away from whatever I'm doing to go flip on the 897. 

The only problem with this is if people reply "hearing nothing" and don't
change the subject to remove the BANDOPEN then we will all get more alerts. 

Just a thought.
