[SixClub] Birdies?

    I noticed the question about birdies here and was
looking at a almost similar problem. I purchased a MD
recorder back in Dubai and when ever I try to copy and
stations via shortwave or ham radio it puts a loud
pulsing noise on tne radio. Which drowns out my source
I want to copy. For example If I try to copy 13089 khz
the USCG wx information broadcast it instantly
interfers with the station but not continous. 
    Any one else here have any similar problems.
