    I held a Technician class license for over ten years and always =
dreamed of being on HF.  In 2000 they made it easier by reducing the CW =
requirement to 5wpm.  I finally upgraded to General in November 2003 =
with 5wpm.  The Code wasn't easy but there was NO POINT before or after =
my upgrade that I ever thought there should be no code requirement.  =
Although it's difficult to predict the outcome of such a big change,  I =
support the existing minimum CW requirement for HF even though I've =
never used Morse Code myself.=20
    If this "ARRL" Proposal is honored, I must agree with a previous =
posting that said whatever numbskulls  become attracted to the bands =
just because of the lack of code will quickly lose interest accordingly. =
 At least I hope so  :-|=20
