Sat TV is in the GigaHz range so most likely the sat
its self is not receiving the TVI. Most likely it is
the reciever to the TV doing the damage. You can put a
highpass filter at the back of the TV set to see if
that cures the problem. The highpass filter usally
starts at 54MHz so it will block your 50MHz signal.
See if you can borrow one from a local ham if you
already do not have one that way you do not incure the
cost of something that may or may not work. Strange
that he is getting TVI with the sat, I have one and do
not get sqwat on it but switch to the back-o-the set
rabbit ears and WAM-O! Good luck with the project, I
almost have the same thing here with HF and 6 meters
and a neighbor, but she has a Conair phone getting
it...you know, Conair the makers of fine consumer
electronics...errrr hair dryers and curling irons!
Others may have a better solution to your problem but
this might work as well.
