I had the ADI146 and the display was always fluky. The radio would  get warn 
and the radios display would come up all eights and all the icons lit  up. A 
good rap on the top would stop it for a could days and then it would act  up 
again. I had bought it used and blamed it on the fact that the TX mod had  been 
done to it, but later found that even those that were unmodded did the same  
thing. I never found the problem but figured for poor design.
