I received the following from Bill AE3J, at 10,000 feet with no cabin  noise 
and no propagation they should make a 300 mile path with no  problem. Add a 
little propagation and there should be a bunch of happy people.  Wonder what 
type of plane he flies.

Pass it on I  will be operating air mobile on 6 and 2 meters
12/26/04 to 1/1/05 weather  permitting . I will be using a IC-706MKIIG
and a quarter wave antenna on the  bottom of the aircraft. The
frequencies will be 50.175 MHZ and  144.175  MHZ. Intentions are to fly
a race track pattern between FM-29 and FM-27 at  10,000 ft from 10:00
to 13:00 local time  with 100 watts on six  meters  and 50 watts on two
