Still trying to construct an efficient 6 meter portable antenna to give
me an advantage over the stock antenna that comes with VX7R
I am currently looking at a design based on the JPlole so would like
some suggestions on materials
I need a conductor 108 inches long plus a 54 inch section of 300 - 450
ohm ladder line that would have self supporting when deployed.
It would also at the same time need to be flexible so that it could be
rolled up and packed in a suit case. I envisage a springy wipe (164
inches long) that could be bent into a loop or crescent shape.
I have built 2 meter Jpoles out of 300 ohm twinlead that work well but
they are not self supporting.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
