I wanted to chime in.  I've been on AOL for about 10 years - dial up, 
traveling dial up, AOL on my PALM handheld (wirelessly) and now cable modem.  My 
experience has been excellent.

I've tried other services over the years, but keep my AOL account for 
reliable email.  Sorry to hear that some of you haven't had as good of an experience.
