For the price, WHY would you want to keep America OFF Line??
If you can get cable (and if you have Time Warner), chances are you can
get Earthlink cable (which was costing LESS than AOL at one time.. and
in fact you still get dialup for free...where AOL and Road Runner want
more!)...
If you cannot get cable, then DSL is fine....(though it can suck
depending on where you are...) In the metro areas, there are other ISPs
offering ISDN or other connections....at reasonable prices...
I know of one company in Houston (CBeyond) offering a residential T1 for
$150/month in Houston..it INCLUDES up to 5 VoIP phone lines! but for
only data use, you don't have to use the VoIP..
