*** I think those four screws were there also for the earlier version - 
just they're
TO-220 pass transistors instead of 3-terminal regulators.  But - you can 
see that there
was originally tape covering them.  Now it's gone.  Why?  Maybe because 
the transistors
were replaced with regulators?
