*** A rare size of hardware. I found a ceramic switch wafer in my old
"switches"
box - probably been in there for 50 years. It's not the same as the
ones in the CX7 - the ceramic is thicker.
But I bet the contacts are the same. So just to practice...

I drilled out one of the contacts with a Dremel, using a pointy-tipped
conical burr. That was easy, it popped
right off.

Then I measured the diameter of the hole. I found a piece of brass rod
that was slightly larger, chucked in my Sherline lathe, and turned it
down...just a bit. OK, it slipped right in. A good slip fit. Caliper
says it's now .0930 inches in diameter. Or 2.34mm.

I'm tempted to just turn this bit of rod into a brass rivet. No standard
hardware will be as tight & precise
a fit.
