Attention collectors. I have a one owner Signal One CX7 factory modified 
to a CX7A.
  It is serial #20. (actually 00120). If you’re a collector you’ll know 
that is 20. It was purchased in 1969. There are no modifications other 
than factory modifications when it was upgraded to a CX7A. It went into 
its factory purchased carton (Included) in 1972 and has not been taken 
out until a couple of weeks ago. It was working when it went into the 
box. Everything is there, untouched. But it has been sitting for 48 
years. I was with my father WA6SOV when he bought it. He put it away 
when he switched to QRP. 268 countries confirmed when he died in 1986.

  I will not plug it in. It must be plugged into a variac and brought up 
slowly. Most likely, it should be recapped. This is a rig that is still 
very close to state of the art 50 years later. I have been told by a 
Signal One collector that all the electrical (chips/transistors) are 
still available. Because of age, it is being offered as is.

  I will ship it double boxed in the original factory box…which, by the 
way, has really suffered from age. But, I am told that collectors want 
the box as well. I am asking $1,500 plus shipping. I have more pictures, 
or I can take more pictures of a particular part of the unit for serious 
buyers.
