Hello John,
I just changed one of the big caps in my CX7 (for the screen supply)
as the original was beyond it's life span. The cap itself is a
Sprague 150 mfd 450 VDC in a metal case. However, it sits inside a
paper roll from which it can easily be taken out. So I just placed
the replacement capacitor with similar mfd/VDC inside the paper roll.
The new cap was of slightly different size so I glued it in place
inside the paper roll using hot melt glue.
When put back in place you can not see that the original cap has been
replaced. Maybe this suggestion will make it easier for you to find
replacement high voltage caps for your CX7a.
As for the low voltage caps, mine are still ok, the audio is not
hummy... yet.. :-)
