This list is for discussions regarding collecting, repair, use and sale of
Signal/One radios and accessories.
Documentation on Signal/One radios can be found at http://www.hamanuals.com
and several other sites on the Web.
.
Thanks for the info guys, all very interesting and much appreciated.
My CX7 labels says serial number 00119 and the label says it is manufactured
in FLA. It still has the NIXIE-tube display, all digits working fine.
I have only inspected it briefly inside when blowing the dust out with high
pressure air. I see what appears to be modifications to some of the circuits
but I need to back track them to see what they really are. Doing so I will
take pictures and put them on my webpage, I will also send some info and
pictures to you Fred for the registry page.
I have been checking the webpages you are pointing to so I am familiar with
all the material available and will digest all of it in due time.
At the moment I have a fair idea who brought this set with him to Sweden
from the US in the 70's, I just need to do some more checking to verify
this. If this turns out to be true, I actually operated this set briefly in
a contest in 1977. I did not wash my hands for a week after that highlight
in my early ham career... :-)
