[SignalOne] CX-7A at Dayton

Another S1 spotted at Dayton this year. Wonder who picked this one up? It is a clean looking CX-7A and seller said it is unmodified and working. Hope whoever bought it gets it listed in the registry. I understand the seller got his asking price so I guess the rigs are still holding their value.

What's the scoop on S1 speakers? The guy at Dayton said he was told there were only 50 produced and I have since been told the same thing by another local S1 owner. I have the speaker for my CX-7 and sort of never thought much about it assuming most folks who could buy the radio could also afford the speaker. What I do regret is not looking harder for the mic as W9IVG's QSL photo clearly shows that he did also buy the 664 mic. I would definitely have spotted it if it were still there but do not remember seeing it at the time I got the radio. Wonder if someone else got there ahead of me and just wanted the mic. My bet is that the mics are even scarcer than the speakers?


My rig is back and working and I plan on describing the problems and repairs plus a couple of  tips I can offer once I get enough time to put the info in an orderly fashion, HI!

Also, don't forget to look for us on 14.250 +/- at 1630 Saturdays. A couple of us are around even with all the weekend events that seem to come up almost every weekend and the continuing iffy propagation.
