Hallo SignalOne lovers,
it is a long time that I was looking to add one of these wonderful radios to my shack and finally I've got the opportunity to acquire a very good one from Kip, AE5IB.
I've "courted" him for long time and finally he have decided to sell it :)
Originally owned by Raymond Stone, W5RBO, the radio is a late one, with the all black front panel and the "strange" SignalOne logo (inverted black-red?). It have the 100 Hz CW filter installed with factory pre-amp, the optional A9A board and the high Power relays and circuitry. A very nice radio that I've start to use this week-end and that now dominates (it is really big) in the center of my shack.
Before taking it to Italy the radio have been sent to Brian, NI6Q, that have carefully and totally re-aligned it. Brian is a collector and an expert technician. He have done a deep revision of each key aspect of the radio that now works like (if better) than new.
You can have a look at my QRZ.COM. You will see the last pictures of my shack and the links to some datailed pictures of the radio as well as the detailed relation that Brian have sent me, to document his job.
I hope you will enjoy it.
Important: shall you have an original copy of the manual or some original leaflet of this radio and want to sell, please contact me off-list. I could be interested to buy them if the price is resonable. I'm also looking at the metal part of the Mode switch knob. Mine have a scratch and that is really the only blemish of this radio that I would like to repair.
Best 73 and thanks for your time.
Nick
