[SignalOne] Noisy 200V Fan

Listmates,

I have never met a 200V that didn't have a noisy fan! I don't think
those little fans like to be operated with the shaft vertical. Sooner
or later they "rattle." I found that a 2" square fan can be nicely
mounted using one of the three standoff's that are used to mount the
original fan. Just add a short length of 6:32 rod to one of the
standoffs (which one will be obvious); a 1" spacer; then the fan and
secure with a nut. The little fan is light enough so that mounting it
using just one of the four mounting holes is adequate.

The fan is from Mouser, #670-OA60AP111WP and cost about $15. It's an
Orion 115VAC 60mm square fan.
