[SignalOne] optical encoder signal

Hello everybody,

since several weeks my Signal/One Milspec 1030 shows an annoying effect. Tuning frequency upwards everything is fine, tunig downwards several steps were counted downwards, then the tuning direction is reversed and frequency steps upwards and then downwards again. All while tuning continuously in the same direction. Any ideas where to start investigations?
