Um, yes. Looks like CX-11's are pricey. Don't know why
though. I generally understand the collector mentality and Ham
Radio seems to be backwards from most collecting.
In Ham Radio, the last of the series is more valuable than the
first.
SX-115 against SX-28 (I don't know the early radios)
32S-3A (one just sold for $4,000 on excessBay) vice 32S-1, is
it the grid block keying?
HRO-500 and HRO-50
The later radios have a utility premium, newer design, improved
or younger components, better performance. So it's not a
"collecting" thing, in the sense of weird Victorian era
furniture or useless depression era glass.
The speaker prices makes no sense at all.
These are not "good" speakers. A Collins speaker for the 75A-4
just went for over $1,000 on the 'bay. It's a metal box with a
60 year old speaker in it.
I see 312B-3's selling for the same as the 312B-4.
A Hallicrafters speaker is over $100? It's a pretty bad 5
inch speaker. I have one at my mom's house. (I hope mom
didn't throw it out.)
de ah6gi/4 - perplexed as usual.
