The driver and 8072 circuit shown in

HF Circuits for a Homebrew Transceiver,
QEX, Nov/Dec, 2001, 20-42.

prevents driver damage from PA faults. This simple
two-component protection can easily be added
to a CX7.

The article also has an 8072 screen protection
circuit, an 8072 PA tank protection circuit, and other
information applicable to the CX7.
