Hi Ed,

read, that you have several Milspec 1030s. I've got this radio as well since
quite some time but could it get only because the former owners weren't able
to detect it's faults. After repair and upgrade it works now very
satisfactorily. The only thing I'm missing is a complete schematic of the
power supply. I've got a good copy of the "big" manual but can't find a
schematic showing the power transformer wiring, the big electrolytics, the
interconnections of the driving transistor and the pass transistors etc. Do
you eventually have those documents or a self drawn substitute?

One special effect is remaining. If I work Vox mode, the PTT contact for my
linear is not activated. I could not detect any relationship between these
functions in the schematics. In PTT everything works fine. Any idea?

Hi Frank... from what I've heard about the RARITY of the CX7S you would 
have to trade the 312B AND at least a 75S3-B to go with it. In 15 years of 
boat anchoring, I've NEVER seen a CX7S for sale. I HAVE seen plenty of 
CX7's, several CX-11's, and a couple-or so-MILSPEC 1030's. Of course, with 
ham radio declining somewhat, and lots of us dying off/etc... it's always 
worth a try!!!
