AW: [SignalOne] Milspec 1030 Vox operation

Hi Bill,

sorry for the misunderstanding. I have the Milspec 1030 not the 1030c. =
So a
look into an Icom manual would be certainly of no help!

Hi, Graf

I've been looking for documentation for the two 1030C's we have, so far =
no
luck except to get the ICOM manual. Perhaps that is the best way =
anyway.

Have you had problem with hum from the microphone? I traced it (from =
the
outside of the transceiver) to the mic plug. Looks like the PTT line
induces hum into the mic audio in one of the sets we have.

Also have trouble with something in the power supply, the lights keep
blinking on and off. Looks like a crowbar activating, then the power =
supply
resetting. It appears to be a mechanical problem, slapping the top of =
the
set has settled for a while. Of course there must be a better remedy.

Any hints would be most welcome, would like to discuss the set with =
someone
who also has one.
