[SIERA] DEATH RIDE

The famed DEATH RIDE is right around the corner!

TARA has supplied communications for this bike ride for many years and is considered an integral part of the infrastructure necessary for the success of this world class bike ride.

SIERA members are requested and encouraged to work with TARA members during this fun project.

The date is July 10, a Saturday.  Radio operators are stationed at 13 different locations, mostly water stops for the 3500 bikers.  The route is 129 miles over 5 passes with elevation changes covering more than 15,000'.  A tremendous challenge for the riders and a great operational activity for radio operators.
