"Who's that knocking at my door"?, cried the fair young maiden.
"Open the door and let me in, it's Barnacle Bill the Sailor" came the voice from outside.
So, as we peek through the shutter to see who this really is, we get a glimpse of what awaits SIERA during the Month of May and into early June.
Each Tuesday evening brings us the SIERA net on 2m at 7:30 on the NV7CV repeater. A great listing of Net Control Operators all month. Then, following at 8 is the HF net.
Every Wednesday we'll catch up with "The Watering Hole" at 7:30 on that same NV7CV repeater.
Then, on the 22nd of May, we join the fair young maiden at Sharkey's for a fine breakfast and even finer fellowship. Maybe, by then, Barnacle Bill the Sailor will be back on his pirate ship, far out on the briny deep.
Ah then, June, when many good things start to happen.
SIERA will get it started on June 5, our regularly scheduled monthly meeting. Mark Spencer will be our program and he brings a wealth of radio knowledge to us. As the ARRL Education and Technology Program Coordinator, Mark instructs wireless technology at the Teacher's Institute.
More later on Mark, but look forward to a dynamic program.
Next day - the 6th - TARA is absorbed in the "America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride" around the Lake. SIERA members are invited to participate in this fun activity. See Don at drmcroberts at charter.net<mailto:drmcroberts at charter.net>. You'll be glad you did and sorry if you don't.
SIERA - the voice of Amateur Radio in the Carson Valley. Where good things happen.
