"Fast Track" is how BLM refers to several renewable energy projects proposed for Nevada.  Included is a really huge solar project in Clark County, as well as an equally large wind project there.  

A large wind project is projected for out Ely way and the NV Energy transmission line is on track.  Ormat (a Reno company) has a number of proposals for geothermal projects on the board, primarily in Pershing and Lander counties.

Governor Gibbons states that the future of Nevada is to be "first" in renewable energy, selling power to neighboring states (guess who?) but, without a committed BLM Fast Track approach, nothing much will happen.

Set aside Saturday, February 6th, for a SIERA presentation by BLM.  Maybe we can get some additional insights into these proposals.
