[SIERA] SIERA General Meeting October 16th

 This month we will revisit Internet Linking for Radio Amateurs.  The
internet can serve as a communications "pipeline" to link distant stations
in a reliable manner that is not always possible using HF or satellites.  By
using VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) we can contact to distant stations
from the comfort of our own home, mobile, or with an HT in the back yard.
We will discuss ECHOLINK and IRLP.  You may ask " Is this really ham radio?"
Come to the meeting and draw your own conclusions.

  The meeting takes place on October 16th starting at 7:00 PM.  We are
located at the Methodist Church classroom in Gardnerville.   Come on over
and visit with friends, have some goodies, and a cup of hot coffee.
