[SIERA] Winter Weather

Most of us are aware of the predicted winter storm hitting us soon.  Be
ready for cold weather, and possibly lots of snow and high winds.  Those of
us that have lived here in Nevada, know with major storms comes the
possibility of power outages.  

Make sure you have working flashlights, and extra batteries.  Extra food and
water for several days is highly recommended.
If the power goes out, what other types of heat do you have available?
Within your house do you have "wireless phones"?  They do not work without
power, plug in a hard line phone, it will work with out AC power if the
phone company is still operational.  Once the storm hits, stay home.  If it
pans out like the weathermen are saying, this may be a whopper of a storm.
Remember a few years ago, outages, flooding, downed power lines, trees, and
other damage?

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best!!!
