The Wind Advisory is now in effect until 8 PM PDT this evening.

South to southwest winds of 15 to 30 mph with widespread gusts of
45 to 50 mph are expected into early evening. Local gusts to 65
mph are possible in the foothills west of Reno and in wind prone
areas such as Galena and Gardnerville.

A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
