Special Weather Statement
518 am PST Sat Nov 25 2006
...Snow possible for the Monday morning commute in western Nevada
with much colder weather through most of next week...
A developing storm in southwest Canada and cold front will move
across western Nevada late Sunday night. After this front passes
through...snow levels will lower to the valley floor with areas of
snow possible over the region mainly north of Highway 50 by Monday
morning. Temperatures are expected to be cold enough to allow snow
to accumulate on roads...which could result in difficult driving
conditions for the Monday morning commute across Reno and
Sparks...and eastward along Interstate 80.
Cold weather is expected to continue through much of next week with
high temperatures only in the 30s over most valleys. Lows in the teens
are expected in urban areas with single digits possible in colder
valleys away from the larger cities.
Expires:260100 gmt
