High Wind Advisory
1103 am PST Fri Mar 24 2006

...Wind Advisory in effect from 4 am to 6 PM PST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Wind Advisory...
which is in effect from 4 am to 6 PM PST Saturday.

South to southwest winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts
up to 50 mph by Saturday morning. Local gusts may be as high as 60
mph in the higher elevations and in wind prone areas along Highway
395. Snow will also develop in the higher elevations of the Sierra
Saturday morning and become heavy at times through the afternoon.
Winds will combine with snow to produce areas of blowing snow in
the higher elevations and over mountain passes making travel
conditions dangerous. Conditions are expected to improve Saturday
evening.

A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of at least 45 mph are
expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially
for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
