[SIERA] Monday DCART meeting

Hi all!

This is a reminder to DCART members that the next DCART meeting will 
be at 6:30PM this coming Monday, February 20, 2006 at the usual place 
at Minden Airport. All who attend should bring the 2 meter radio they 
would bring on a callout and its instruction manual!

The first part of the meeting will be a discussion of what skills and 
knowledge a DCART responder should know when they are dispatched. 
This discussion will drive training topics at future meetings. I also 
plan to establish a weekly DCART net for the purposes of ensuring 
that our personal radios are working, to become better acquainted 
with each other and to provide a modicum of training (including 
experience as net control) for all who check in.

After a short refreshment break, we will do this months exercise. The 
point of it is to ensure that everyone is familiar enough with their 
radio to put it on an arbitrary frequency and establish communications there.

My apologies for sending this reminder so late. Hopefully I'll do 
better next month...
