Leonard Mitchell has been a fine addition to the SIERA membership and, as time has rolled on, has become ever more involved.

Leonard participated in the re-ride by stationing himself at Rye Patch and consistently reported on the whereabouts of the pony. Turns out this was no easy task since this is the area where the pony riders went East in order to go West and were not in direct contact with either each other or the communicators. Nevertheless, Leonard had a real handle on all the activity and accurately reported the details. He performed in stellar fashion and made SIERA look good.

On the way home his Tracker, exhibiting the Don Quixote in all of us, decided to do battle with an 18 wheeler. Leonard, as the sword bearer, was along for the ride.

The Tracker is much the worse for wear. Leonard was taken to Washoe Medical and was in ICU for observation for cuts, bruises and general banging up. That was Monday about 2 PM. As this is being written, Leonard is enroute home. Good news as a follow on to the bad news.

There will be a period of recuperation and general conditioning to get on the radio. Leonard is up to it.

Leonard would enjoy hearing from his SIERA friends. Phone is 782-6381
