Lung Assn Bike Event Sept 9, 10 11 & FREE CAMPING AT DONNER STATE PARK

Here's a very special event that hams are invited to:

19th Annual Emigrant Trails Bike Trek
SEPTEMBER 9-11, 2005
Three Days Biking. Two Nights Camping. One Great Vacation.

Come join 500 riders and volunteers to support clean air, healthy lungs
and the elimination of lung disease. This three-day event features cycling
through the beautiful Tahoe- Donner area with camping at Donner Memorial
State Park. All proceeds benefit the programs of the American Lung
Association of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails.

Information about the Emigrant Trails Bike Trek is on our web site at
www.saclung.org.

   The event is the Lung Assn Bike Ride. It sounds
   like we will need the follow hams and coverage:

   Friday Sept 9th - ride approximately 10:00am till 2:00pm
   The bike ride goes from Cisco to Donner Memorial Park camp grounds
   1 Ham mobile Cisco to Donner
   1 Ham at Donner
   includes free camping for hams this night

   Saturday Sept 10th - ride approximately 10:00am till 2:00pm
   The bike ride goes from Donner Memorial Park camp grounds, down 89 though
   Squaw Valley,
   to Tahoe City, stops for an aid station at Commons Beach in Tahoe City,
   continues to Kings Beach on Hwy 28, left up 267 over Brokway Summit, down
   267 into Truckee, lunch at the Truckee Regional Park
   1 Ham at Donner
   1 ham at Tahoe City Commons beach
   1 ham Truckee Regional Park
   includes free camping for hams this night

   Sunday Sept 11th ride approximately 10:00am till 2:00pm
   The bike ride goes from Donner Memorial Park camp grounds to Cisco
   1 Ham at Donner
   1 Ham mobile Donner to Cisco
   includes free gala food / party for hams at Cisco
